The Bible is not a religious book.

Religion is about following certain practices in order to live out one’s faith in accordance with teachings derived from scriptural guidance. The importance of repetition and emphasis on doing are critical. There are numerous viewpoints on the Bible and religion, and I’d like to share mine. If you read the Bible, you will notice that the practices and frequency change over time. Some people believe that the God of the Old Testament is not the same as the God of the New Testament. One reason could be that people want God to have a predetermined way of presenting himself. To summarize, the Bible is about God, who weaves His spiritual influence through the lives of men as he reveals and fulfills his plans.

The Bible is full of upheaval. Change is unavoidable. However,m an adores the status quo. even if it is difficult. This enables religion to flourish. Even if there is no benefit, I will continue to do it. It is worth noting that religious people outnumber spiritual people globally. When we look at the Bible characters, we see people who defied the standards or patterns of the time to become people who followed God’s wishes. There are far too many examples to ignore the message being conveyed. Like Tamar who disguised herself as a prostitute, enticed her late husband’s father, slept with him and became pregnant as a result. Their descendants became Jesus’ forefathers. Ezekiel spent years performing God’s message. To live out what God was saying, for 3 years he walked naked and slept for 2 years continuously in bed. Prophet Amos sought out and married a woman with loose morals. She irritated him greatly, but that was God’s will. These people may appear out of the ordinary, but their stories exist and speak to us. Our lives too are unique, and religious patterns exist to deprive men of God’s ability to change things. In the short-term or long-term.

When it comes to religion, the Bible says that the emphasis should be on caring for widows and orphans. Jesus describes his sheep as having clothed him when he was naked, fed him when he was hungry, and visited him in prison when he was imprisoned. Essentially, the Bible insists that the vulnerable and needy be prioritized. Attending to the weak and needy is incredibly taxing; why is it important? Only when God provides for the initiatives can a long-term campaign on behalf of the vulnerable and needy be launched. In other words, religion without the provision of God is deceptive. When you let God lead, repetition and focusing your beliefs on specific teachings other than interaction with Him become obsolete. It also necessitates those appointed as leaders to lower their authority and take risks in order to follow God’s leading, even if their followers remain apathetic. One important reason for a leader to do this is their personal experience with God’s provision of both visible and invisible things.

The Bible is about discovering this great and wonderful God who loves mankind unconditionally. Then personally interacting with him until one is confident enough to walk in a manner that others may perceive as deviant. The outcome of their life interactions is their only source of vindication. Are the vulnerable and needy being cared for and lifted up? If so, there is a reason to be patient with the individual. The God message cannot be presented with the expectation of automatic acceptance. Some of us are more vulnerable and in need than others. Consider the possibility that someone was consistently kind and compassionate to you with no strings attached. They attended to your urgent needs and were always available. Because of kindness and compassion, it would be easier to lower one’s emotional barriers. Religion will not provide access to the heart because it does not take the individual’s unique circumstances into account.

The heart is where it all happens, and getting to it is a process. Religion becomes a thing when genuine kindness and compassion are lacking. In other words, religion serves only to keep people comfortable. It’s unfortunate that most people dislike being kind or receiving kindness. It is strange to us and makes us feel uneasy. At least, that’s how it feels at first. The more one encounters kindness, the easier it is to identify with it. They, too, will eventually extend the same kindness to others. We can probably conclude that the Bible is about relationships, both with God and with humans. When kindness and compassion are present in a relationship, it takes on the characteristics of love. You are deeply religious if your beliefs do not lead you to receive and give love to others through acts of kindness.
